Update! It's been a while. Part 1: FOOD

A lot has happened over the past 3 weeks. Just so many things that I haven't had time to document them here! Check out the summary of what's been going on...

Andy made me an awesome spritzer...mmm.

And oatmeal, walnut pancakes with strawberries on top...

We bought a Ninja Chopper to make kick ass smoothies and shakes. They are kick ass. We have a smoothie almost every morning now. Here's a raspberry, banana one with my egg, wasabi mayo and goat cheese topped crostini dish...mmm...



We made a Tijuana Torta from Eating Well Magazine and enjoyed it very much

And since all it appears we do is eat, we had some amazing salmon and sweet potato fries...

And another day we ate more eggs and smoothies...

And then had some pizza with chicken, carmelized onions, arugula, asiago and tomatos.

And some more eggs...

And an artichoke, mushroom, asiago pizza...

Guess we've had a lot of pizza in the last month; sage chicken, arugula, and prosciutto pizza...


OK, I'm full. You think I would have gained a ton of weight from all this great food. BUT...I actually lost 3 pounds...haha.

Now we're getting antsy. I hit uncomfortable a few weeks ago...I can deal with that. Now we are just antsy to meet the little guy and introduce him to his family and friends. I think Andy & I are in fast forward mode all of a sudden, just wanting the time to fly by... Looking at pictures from last week it appears I may have dropped slightly...maybe?...maybe not? I guess I can sort of breath a little easier. I'm not waddling like many people say you do when this happens...I'm just slow...haha. I'm not nesting either. I've posted to Facebook to tell friends what I've been up to and they say I am, but really that's just me. I'm totally anal retentive and a perfectionist and have to have things in their place. This is my norm. Not anything new.  38 weeks 37 weeks As the time draws near my patients at work continue to say things like, "You're still here?" and "Had that baby yet?" (most annoying question ever). Ye...

Augie's Birth Story

So it's taken me a while to sit down and write about this. We've been adjusting to lots of new daily adventures. And every minute of it has been a blast. I can say I have no complaints! Life as new parents is great and I can only see it getting better. We're adjusting to our different sleep schedule which is really helping our mental health...haha. Andy heads  back to work on Monday next week and I can say I really will miss all of the help that he has provided Augie and I over the past three weeks. He's an amazing husband and father. So here it goes- Sunday, the 15th, we slept in, ate left over pizza for lunch, celebrated birthdays at Andy's Grandma Jeanette's...I ate something like three different kinds of cake and ice cream (and I think I went back for a second round of sweets), hung out at my parents for a bit, then came home and ate macaroni and cheese, from a box. Not our usual day of fairly healthy eating, but that's what we had. After dinner ...
